I can't really get excited about her death because I'm afraid that the author is going to pull some shenanigans and bring her back.

And fuck you people, lol. The only reason Four-eyes seems like a more interesting character is because the author seems to have abandoned Hirota's development, at least for the time being.

Agreed 100%, folks are forgetting that the author developed Souichi's character first precisely because he isn't the MC, this arc is simply the start of Hirota's downfall and eventual redemption. But I do hope that Souichika stay dead and Hirota becomes an even edgier Guts later in his downfall arc.

Honestly, as cliched as it may be, this development is hardly surprising if one thinks about it with half a braincell. For all we know Souichi got shat on his whole life (iirc it was mentioned that even before his mom turned into a fat unresponsive goblin his father was abusive), and Chika is perhaps the first person to show him some much needed kindness with no strings attached (now if the haters see this as her being unfaithful to Hirota well, to each their own...).

That said, I hope he's aware he's biting far more than he can chew. Last time Tamaki bothered to show a familiar their place Hirota was left puking his ribcage, so good luck.

i dont really have a "i like this character more" kinda thing... well i did but not anymore since it doesnt matter and its better that i expect not much of it... i kinda am getting a feeling that i want hirota and soichi to become partner and hunt the original blood race... just for the sake of a story

I'm noticing a lot of sympothy for Soichi and I get his cercumstances are heavy, but the fact is he is the linchpin of these tragedy granade. He's tryed to kill Hirota resolting in his death and Hirotas' transformation. Because of the time the transformation took Chika despaired over his disseaperance hit the streets and a truck hit her. Then he comes back and desides it's Hirotas' fault (some how) that he got his heart riped out and desides to threaten him by putting her life in danger. Then gives her directions to Miwako's house! Seriously fucked this loser with a rusty iron pipe cause he's a asshole.
