Wouldn't be surprised. It's the same author that did all these series https://j-novel.club/series?search=author:"Kota Nozomi" Only 2 of them seem to have gotten a proper ending so far, Slightly Older Girlfriend's last volume was in 2020 and from reading the translation that last volume did not at all seem like it was ending. Either the author's in a rut or the publisher decided stop work on the series for whatever reason.
Why would they adapt something that got axed? I don't understand
