This is sort of where I'm at in terms of figuring what she wants.

she's likely being honest about simply wanting a kid and not thinking about having a romantic relationship to get there. But it's likely she chose the MC because of a latent attraction to him that she doesn't really want to admit or recognize. She's too proud to say "it has to be you" to him because she's positioned herself as a career woman who doesn't need a husband (possibly because of the often-used general Japanese sentiment that a married woman "should" quit and be a housewife because it's proper) and she maybe doesn't even realize that her selection of him is emotional rather than rational.

So most of the plot of this is going to be him getting closer to her while trying to keep his feelings in check and her struggling to recognize her feelings as he gets closer and she can't understand why he makes her happy or the thought of being with someone else upsets her so much.

Kind of awkward. Kind of potentially skeezy. Possibly eventually wholesome. We'll see.

I'm going to go with wholesome. There'll be some dates to <insert date location trope here>, the odd occasion of a miscommunicated or understood turn of phrase, a point of drama when a douki-chan appears declaring her love for the MC... buuut in the end she'll get her baby and a husband by accident as well.

It's a hilariously roundabout way to have sex with the guy because she's older than him, more powerful than him, and is nervous about that as well as being aware of the potential consequences for her career. I donno what the plan is, but the story is pretty clear. They both like each other and are now involved in some strange pact to get her pregante.
