I didn't understand that part too much either. In fact, there are some parts that I don't understand very much. And the novel doesn't help that much.

In the end, after reviewing it several times, I decided to leave it like that, in case someone else tastes better and enlightens us, xd.

This was a bit of a mess. Not the translation necessarily, but the story itself. Lots of exposition and backstory shoved into too small a space. It's like the author just wanted to power through it and get it over with so they could get to the story they wanted to tell.
