I actually reread Kenichi starting early last year, or so. Well...hindsight is 20/20: a lot of flaws were exposed in my second reading, flaws I hadn't noticed when I was relatively new to watching anime (as such, not just dubs on terrestrial TV) and reading manga--and it hit hard, because I'd previously considered it one of my favorite manga.

That aside...another prettyboy martial artist. I just hope Matsuena doesn't rope Kenichi and Miu, with the Kuremisago, into yet another forced "love" triangle like he did with Kanou Shou in the first manga. The worst part of that was that it "ended" (it went on for volumes) with Kenichi in some weird cuckold state of adoration of Kanou: Kenichi ended up cherishing the memory of some random guy who tried to kill Kenichi to take his girl (and later took bullets meant for her because he totally wasn't going to try again), like the guy gave him the permission to love Miu.

The NTR fetish is way too strong among JP creators.
