Something tells me if Aqua and he really were in a relationship back in his previous life, she was probably the only one who thought so. If he's THIS dense, he would probably just think they were really close friends.

I'm actually kind of leaning more towards selfish than dense. He clearly is over with living by someone else's orders, and is hell bent on doing things his own way. But honestly, that seems to have become somewhat of a crutch for him. You can live doing what you want, but you don't need to do that 24/7.

Also, if what the watet spirit said was true, and that they were actually dating before, then this is really kind of sad for her too. Because the only thing really preventing her from getting back with him is his own selfishness of wanting to do things his own way, simply because he no longer has the full memory from that time.

I'm not saying he should have just dropped everything and moved in with her right there on the spot, but just bailing from the area at the first chamce he gets, without even really saying much or giving it some actual thought about what this feels like for her, imo, seems really shallow of him to do.

And in Ichika's case, that dude is not just extremely dense, he's brain dead.

I think I read somewhere that in the light novels come to find out Ichika was VERY much aware of all the girls feelings but he just didn't want to harm their friendship or some crap like that. So he chose not to choose, thus they kept fighting over him.

Definitely a joke of a series yet sadly has some of the most memorable waifus in that specific genre. Seriously every single girl in that manga was wasted on that guy. Even his sister.
