Actually they had done it before, and MC was even explained regarding Rank-Up system.

But MC had denied being Ranked-Up, because becoming higher Ranked means you are forced to take commissioned quests as well which you can't deny.
And MC wanting to remain free, rejected the idea of Ranking Up, and decided to stay F-Rank.

Guess, the Author conveniently forgot about the plot he had used before (it was in Chapter 14).

This happens a LOT in these stories authors forgetting major key plot points in favor of the "Weakest but strongest" trope and they go hard on the "F Rank?!" so much that i think we get at least one a chapter now. As long as Mangasushi continues to do chapters i will read but no longer really invested in the story just looking to see how many times Yuri declines to help only to have plot shove him into it with another way like adding Tia's plot pushing him into the mine he didn't want to bother with

Nah, he was offered a rank up to S but he refused it saying he wanted to stay F rank, honestly the story would have been more interesting if he took it and told them to make him "officially" F rank.

Doesn't work that way. He has already rejected their advances to higher ranks. They wouldn't even be able to detain him as he would just escape. He is an existence that exceeds their ability to control and trying to force the issue would only lead to him leaving the country.

Only reason the MC has a guild card is for bypassing the guards at the gates and to sell his loot.

I just hope the Yuuri will start explaining things to his close friends. Like what happened with Riko - he should've just explained further that he is already a demi-god and just wants to live a life without forced responsibilities. They will probably understand.
