@mangolover while I knew someone would reply that, it quite frankly is not the same. The title adventurer is not just synonymous to employed, and neither is it merely a specialization like "taxi driver" (although it hasnt been explicitly said, several things heavily implies the adventurers guild is singular, such as the word "branch"). The title is very much tied to the franchise. So instead what she said was more akin to if you needed experience of being a cop, to become a cop. Or if mcdonalds required staff to have experience as a mcdonalds employee. before becoming a mcdonalds employee.
There is literally no alternative they could have possibly gotten experience at.

And I know things are shaping up to be that the branch is trying to be fancy, and only accept elites, and it not being a practice forced onto every branch. But thats just stupid, and thus I will disregard it (the manga seems stupid enough as is, lets hope in vain that it wont increase).

@mangolover: Yeah i remember those kind of job criteria, like once i read about a job offer for a company for a specific level post which had a maximum age limit of 24 years, and asked for a minimum of 7 years of job experience for that job, aka., a person had to be in employment for that specific qualification at the age of around 17 years old, which isn't legal here (normally company jobs is only allowed to 18+ years old at the lowest, with Campus selection jobs usually).

Seven chapters in and we haven’t even gotten to the point where he’s registered as an F-rank as the title says.

Look, if you’re going to do all the regular cliches, don’t drudge through them all as if this is the first time anyone’s seen them.

@Morose some jobs, namely government ones, are required by law to allow anyone to apply, even if they want to promote from within, so they will post a job with a requirement being x years working on x project, something that no one from outside the organization can do, so when no one turns up with said criteria, they can promote.

some places, a place nearby, will require asinine things for entry level, I think one was a doctorate for a literal janitorial position. you get into the place one of two ways.
1) extremely qualified, their requirements are there so they can be very selective in their hiring, it circumvents some laws.
2) someone inside vouches for you, this ends up hiring people who will not mess up or leave right away regardless of conditions because they will punish whoever vouched for you as well.

then you have the tech industry, there were alot of job postings requiring 10 years in 8 languages with 3 of them being sub 3 years old. they hire no one for the job, because what they want to do is bring in an h1b1 and some of the laws around that only allow you to, or expedite you if you have no one in country who can fill the position. so they get a cheaper employee from somewhere else, usually india, from visa mills who lie about credentials. I know there was some amount of crack down on this practice but you can usually find job listings that sound like they want a god themself to program the html for their website, or listing about 20 different jobs in one description because the people making the posting and hiring have no idea what they want or need.

@feha
possibly, its also possible that this guild wants porters or people who do underling work, so they made a class system, you have no experience, well the way you get it is being someone else's bitch till we say you can stop.

@alidan: Forgot to mention before, but that job offer was from a private company, and it required someone with Commerce background with 7 years of experience, with a maximum age of 24 years and also atleast had Bachelors degree in Commerce.

...?
There are tons of alternative places where a person could theoretically get experience with "killing monsters" (which is like 90% of "adventurer" work if the various isekai I've read are to be believed). Hunters, soldiers, knights, private security types, mercenaries, hell any random "strong guy in the village" could probably claim to have that kind of "experience" since these isekai worlds are always overflowing with monsters left, right, and center.

I hope he destroys everyone in this "competition" - to the point everyone else has to be in bed for the rest of their lives, along with the stupid beard face. Just so the guild branch will get in major trouble because fuck those cunts.
After all, they did say, and I quote, "Over 100, and you can immediately 'register to be the adventurer' " yet, once it's obvious he's well beyond it, instead of registering him as "the" adventurer they say "apparently, you qualify for the competition" - which was never mentioned before. So, either wreck the whole competition to the point that the whole country is going to want the bearded cunts (and every other guild employees of that branch) heads on a pike for literally ruining potential fighting force with their retard competition, or outright just kill the guild employee cunts (and everyone who sees, so you can't be blamed for it).

@sinkingship they wanted experience as adventurer, not experience in killing monsters. As proof, if the latter applied, mc could have easily supplied that on his CV, considering the past few chapters were him doing exactly that.

Now, if he had done unlicensed escort-missions for merchants, that could potentially apply. Though I suspect that is a bodyguard/caravanguard kinda gig, and not adventurer.
