Unfortunately, "F Rank" is a part of the series name, so I'd guess the MC will be F rank till the end of the series. Maybe he will get a promotion in the last chapter? The author made the mistake of writing it in the title, so here we are.

I think the only manga I've read that managed to justify why the MC isn't yeeted up to S or whatever is the appropriate rank for their power is Legend. They actually explained that even if he has the power of a higher rank, he doesn't have the experience of teamwork or leading a team that's required for the higher ranks.

It's not that the MC can't rank up, the MC is choosing not to. Chapter 14, the guild gave him a B-rank for his starting rank after his first quest and MC rejected it.

At this point, keeping the MC as an F rank just for the sake of consistency with the title is really stupid. This guy has achieved the feat that greater than anyone but he still stuck at the F rank because plot demanded it and the author doesn't know how to write a convincing story. Because he has published story before, his very first published series is not so bad, but after that he become greedy and published tons of them with lower quality at the same time.

Biggest dislike for this series is the "end of the world" arcs that are showing up just making it even more annoying with the whole "Useless F-Rank" plot point. Was mostly enjoyable before the water city

If this is a ghost town with everyone leaving why the F do they need a B Rank to enter the mine who is there to care? I know plot logic but at least come up with a better reason...know i am asking to much with the writing we have :/
