So shimeji, in my mind, puts this apathy barrier between herself and other people, which was much easier to see in early stages of this manga, but as she and majima interacted, that barrier became thinner and thinner.

And now when they were going to have sex, she realized that the barrier between her and majima was about to be completely dissolved, which would obviously be scary for someone like shimeji. Also, because of the whole people changing how they themselves are now in this world, it's never been easier to lose yourself with something/someone else (as we saw from the first chapter of this arc), so that could accentuate that feeling of shimeji losing herself within majima

Theyre definitely meant for eachother, but right now is definitely the worst time to have sex EVER if the third impact is basically happening as you fuck
