They have been served up spectacularly well too, just the first half of the chapter would've been somewhat unsatisfying.

Also a lot of changes to this scene from the web novel but welcome ones, in the WN, Mc spends like ten paragraphs doubting himself before barely getting his bearings to confront douche Mc. Also he left little sis crying on the ground and she's never seen again til Volume 2, here she gets more to do, it's great that this Manga separates her earlier and more clearly from douche Mc and the other two girls that in the WN. In fact... most characters are very easy to hate in the WN, don't get me started on how annoying Mc was in the first few chapters.
