Thanks for the chapter. Other than that birth being shocking left field they basically take this chapter to full explaining literally everything. The obvious and the things that needed dots connected. Definitely overkill but I feel like everything at least makes sense within the story now. Oh well Bakemonogatari author everybody. Looking forward to the finale

Nope. It's an adaption of the novels, and the original author took a 10+ year break for this series. Naturally, you can tell how his writing changed with that break and that he probably had no idea what to do for the ending when he returned. The groundwork for something great is there, but the execution of the final arcs is beyond a mess between the tone shift and pacing issues.
