The manga Shin Megami Tensei: If… is an interesting adaptation of the original game, bringing Karukozaka High School into the demon world of Makai and placing the protagonist Nobu and his classmates in situations of survival and supernatural conflict. However, while following the story, it becomes noticeable that the character development could be more in-depth. While the action and plot move quickly, some character motivations and relationships remain superficial, which could have further enriched the narrative. Still, for SMT fans or those who enjoy stories that mix school life with supernatural elements, the manga offers an engaging read and a unique way to explore the franchise’s universe.
