@MadParadox Just think of it as the Mafia and the Yakuza just think why is there still Mafia and Yakuza when the government could just destroy them answer their the ones working in the background and have connections to government they do the things the government don't want to.
This arc just felt like it had no stakes at all. Dill from the start stood no chance against anyone on this situation and the only interesting narrative bits were some backstory, but they really hyped up his character. Lit smile is nice though.
So... when will the Hero reach her breaking point; of not being able to see her beloved brother and become an even greater menace than the Demon Lord? I can definitely see that coming...
she does "break" in a sense in 2-3 arcs if i remember correctly.
spoilers (i guess) about ruti's divine protection (DP) and how it affects her personality
like all DPs the hero DP affects it's owner with hero like tendencies however it's incredibly nasty in that not only does it inhibit things like pain but also every other sense and emotion she has (getting even stronger with the level increases) making her equivalent to a robot in terms of sensation "this is hot/cold" is the extent to which she can feal things (her love for red being the only thing she keeps through it being too big to suppress)
Divine protections and how they affect people are actually key points in later arcs actually being the focus of this of arc or the next one IIRC
@Psychronia I was actually surprised they didn't deal with him right there and will go to war with the Thief guild, turns out Dill is the only idiot here.
