Yeah, thought the same as well.wait.. did they just forget to resolve spider girl's fight?
Yes.How many body doubles does this princess have?
The way I understood it there was just one double here and the traitor's daughter murdered offscreen before the story kicked off, and the person hunted in the woods was the real princess all along, so at least two, which wouldn't even be that many, since she apparently needed them. How many body doubles does this princess have?
I agree, it was disappointing how rushed this felt...Yeah, thought the same as well.
there's only one scenario where this weird switch makes sense I think:That princess switch twist doesn't make a lick of sense. So it was the original that was sent out as bait for the Akabane brigade, only survived by chance and was later told by the double to commit suicide to, again, only survive because the Akabane brigade rudely knocked on the door in that very moment?
Plus: For that switch to be believable for everyone around the double's acting would have to match the original's character, so while it was the double that mistreated the original here, that would have had to be normal behavior for the real princess to not appear strange.
Plus plus: They still cheated MC out of his reward and he just let them get away.

I assume it's something cliche like "demon lord", since they're usually among the most human-looking demons and it would fit his whole "gathering monsters" thing. So .. he isn't a human but a humanoid monster. Which one though? I can't wait to find out. Anyone knows?
I was thinking something along the lines of a mimic, after seeing Glenn's scales on his face the previous chapter, which allowed him to resist the explosive powder.I assume it's something cliche like "demon lord", since they're usually among the most human-looking demons and it would fit his whole "gathering monsters" thing.
I interpreted that as a vein/burn effect, as if he had gotten damaged but was just regenerating quickly, but looking at them + Glenn's scales I could see it that way too, yeah. A mimic who can use his friends' powers is suitably a typical "OP isekai MC" type of power, too.I was thinking something along the lines of a mimic, after seeing Glenn's scales on his face the previous chapter, which allowed him to resist the explosive powder.
It doesn't explain Gai being able to release and gather monsters like a demon lord though.
