Shina's dialogue is all rough in this one, but not anywhere else. what gives? Where is the consistency?
The translation keeps going back and forth between making Shina's dialogue demure, and making the dialogue rough.

Well, I can't speak for other parts of the story... but the general impression I get is that Shina in flash backs talks rougher than Shina is now willing to talk in front of En or Mikage. I mostly use machine translation, which sucks, I know, but I do look through the dialogue for what I can pick out... mostly swears, personal pronouns, and signs of politeness / respect.
Sena is kinda prim and proper, so when Shina is pretending to be Sena, Shina matches Sena's style.
So when Shina is first talking to Sumire, Shina thinks Sumire is fooled by the disguise. Shina speaks politely.
Somewhere after that Shina realizes Sumire isn't fooled... Shina starts using the the same tone as with En. Shina isn't as polite with En and Sumire, but still uses the neutral/feminine watashi and less coarse language.
Where as flashback Shina is Ore... shouting about being the heir. but not in front of En that I've seen.

What does any of that mean? idfk. but its what I'm seeing and part of why I try to make flashback Shina sound rough.
