Seriously. It's at #3 with a 5 rating. What is up with MD's popular threshold? Is it viewcounts or something. I usually have a high 'bad' tolerance but this is impressively boring and generic.

Since everyone is hating on the story, I'm gonna hate on something else, the cover. It just looks really ugly, it just looks like those manga pages that explain the character, but they recycled it and used it as a cover. It's also has a bunch detail that says nothing, and it doesn't even tell what the characters are other than "he is a mage and she uses a sword.", nothing else. other than that, yeah.

the story is fine for me, though it's very hypocritical. t's just that the pacing is so horrible. the author could've really stretched out the prison and actually made a "dungeon" worthy of a manhwa. and the author could've ditched the princess cliche and replace it with fkin destroying the empire that imprisoned him, idk. THEN he flees to the "meritocracy" kingdom. anywho, i think it's still worth a read

MEH manga is bland forced and the story is kinda shit not gonna lie the author tries to hype shit up but then forgets what their hypeing and just continues on and then later comes back to it
