Well, I guess it's a sign to move off mangadex for real...

No. He’s just lazy/can’t be fucked because the missing chs are on aggs. By consensus of the MD community, that’s kind of a dick move.

Like stopping a movie in the middle, and telling the audience that they have to go to another cinema few blocks away to see the cut-out bit, before going back for the rest of the movie.

FYI “maltacres” should be “Maruta Cress”. IIRC Maruta means log…yes it’s a pun.
This is MTL. This guy was using a different name until not too long ago.

The edits of one other manga he's working on is the same as the previous group that worked on it. A group that just disbanded (Discord server gone). When he's known as the previous group, he had a beef with another group (+one guy later on) on one manga, in which it's proven by the translator of the other group that this guy don't even know how to read Japanese.

Despite having different names in the credit page, I'm pretty sure this guy works alone. It's his MO. Just wait, he's going to go "Need donation to pay for my staff" in a few chapters.

You would think that you would fill the missing chapters first before creating more missing chapters.

The problem is those aggragators currently have it better.

We're currently sitting at 1865 confirmed KIA on Mangadex, they've utterly failed as a piracy site that claimed to be one.

It's basically the movie theater loosing a chunk of their movies overnight despite many of them only being found with English at that theater, all those watching the movies completely loosing out on the rest of the movie and being forced to watch elsewhere, whilst this movie was stagnant for a long time, suddenly gets bits thrown in,along with a very good warning to simply watch it elsewhere.

Sure but one can hardly blame MD for it, their model is that it is a site were anyone can go and post chapters if they want not a place were they go around looking for chapters to accumulate in one place.
So if there is some blank in some title anyone can fill those blanks, for example this title since the chapters exist somewhere else anyone can go to those other places, get the chapter and post it here.

Their actual model was that they could post stuff that scanlators uploaded directly since they have a tacit understanding with the Jap folks...clearly that has failed, and now everyone is in dire straits, with the aggragators actually having what we want to read.

We will blame MangaDex for this failure to deliver as the go between of piracy and pathetic official sources, and will continue to prop aggrators more, unless they manage to undue all the lost content.

With that as it is,might as well go full ham and actually fill in the smaller holes, now that even bigger ones have torn the seas asunder,or just read elsewhere.
