My recollection is blurry, since it's been many years, but next arc is

wandmaker ML. They might say manga ended coz no material, but it might have been in trouble anyway, since that arc focuses heavily on negativity on being a squib. Which is something manga mostly skipped. 3ML is a squib in an opposite way to Erica. While Erica only can't make wands, he is genius level at wandmaking, but cannot do anything else, including using wands he made.

After that there's a time skip straight to real story, the academy life(I might be forgetting some things between those). It introduces

Spoiler: more MLs, original game protagonist, and the main conflict

It starts from original protag's brother being turned into werewolf by main enemy, and gradually reveals many schemes the enemy has to destroy the kingdom

Anyone who enjoyed this should read WN. ALOT of details were skipped. If you don't feel like hitting your head on wall of text, I'll also recommed "The Golden Summoner" manga, which has similar vibe. This is more detective story, while TGS is more adventure.

just as an example in the WN Naofumi from Shield Hero is inarguably a irredeemable sack of shit if you hate shield hero imagine how much worse he is in the WN if you liked him imagine that fragile balance of being a dickhead and somewhat respectable shattered.

the author was directly in charge of the manga and had at least some input on the anime.

OG Naofumi is an actual rapist abuser with no redeeming qualities.

If you're here having a visceral reaction on that prospect, then you must have not grown out of that phase where you are unable to disassociate yourself from the media you're consuming. In other words: if the MC is not a self-insert that you relate to, then the whole thing is crap regardless of quality, tonal consistency, worldbuilding, thematic througline etc.

Rapists are not likable protagonists why do you think it was changed in the Manga and Anime.

being a full fucking grim edgelord does not improve the story it makes you roll your eyes its why everyone loathes the opening and why everyone hates the first episode of goblin slayer despite that story being infinitely better.

Cats can live 10-20 years (some can manage upwards to 30 years), so expecting to be around in six years time is no big deal.

(And when she herself said she had only "a few years as a cat to live" - well, her previous self was basically immortal and had 'lived' for centuries.. ..so that was what she was comparing with)
