But for real in history usually cavalry charge at each other to attack enemy's flank or counter/protect their own flank, why cavalry in this manga is in center of the formation baffle me. Even in The Girl Who Ate the Death God and Eliza complain that their cavalry is best use in left or right wing, people want to fuck with them so their cavalry is usually in the center formation for maximum cavalry casualties.

and heavy armored cavalry shouldn't have much problem vs regular spear man. you would need very long spears to counter long reach of cavalry lance

why, for some reason, have I scarcely seen any trebuchets and ballista's in a medieval battle in manga? I know Olivia has the power of a T34 against these mere meatshields, but I need some of my thicc rock and wood action.

@Winchan. The reason there are no trebuchet's here is that it's not a direct siege the army met them on the battlefield so siege weapons would be useless/self destructive to use here. There are also no Ballistas because the area in question is surrounded by rough terrain which would make it impossible to drag that equipment around. That being said it would also be difficult to set up the facilities on site to build /repair them
