Aaaaand of course this shit had to happen... Nearby every single author thinks that what makes romantic stories interesting are rival after rival before/after confession. And wait for at least 2 more chapters before making things clear because "I know you're in a relationship, but I want you to think about me seriously" WTF there is nothing to think, they already have someone, do you really want to date a person who dumped their previous partner for you? Knowing that they can do it again but against you? For fuck sake, stick to the main couple, they don't need third ones to create interesting situations and we all are mostly here for the heartwarm.

i did like that before being a love rival, he was a good friend to her by giving her advice on how to make up with Arisugawa, but then he's the sort of "good guy" that doesnt really care about a girl friend's feelings and just confesses to make himself feel better... like way to tell someone you dont value their friendship without telling them straight up. its confusing, the author is acing every other aspect in this story but it seems she cant even decide if she wants him to be a sincere guy or a jerk, one minute he does something thats commendable then he's reduced to typical love rival shenanigans that wouldnt fly irl cuz youd come across as manipulative
