It irks me a little that the names are so generic. Otome, Himeno, Kazuki. I'm waiting for a Suzuki to pop out somewhere..

Well, I'd like to say, It's wholesome.
When I started reading I too had ambivalent feelings about this. Apart from the fact that she accepted such confession, which is completely dumb and out-of-character, her ideas and views are mature and interesting to listen. As well as his and everyone else's. Yes, the jokes are not "strong" as in your general romcom, but they are more...realistic, I'd say? All in all, I just enjoyed watching how it unfolds. And now finally I have some totally normal conversation between highschool students who started dating and try to learn more about each other.
I guess, it's less of a romcom and more of a graphic novel. I'm captivated
