It ended as planned (that is, it wasn't cancelled; this is where Michiru wanted it to end)- and it's not that far off, technically... there's still 13 chapters left (plus bonuses)!
I do wish it was longer of course, but... I can promise you that it's not rushed, at least.

Michiru mentioned that they were thankful for everyone's support up until the end on their Twitter, and the pixiv page notes chapter 43 as the "final chapter."

There could still be volume bonuses once volume 10 actually releases, but 43 is definitely the last full chapter.

I don't think I realized the first time I read this that the conversation scene is in the midst of her experiencing Asashino's ego through repository magic imbued in the drugged drinks.

It was nicely done though, to show that both of them feel uncomfortable receiving undue gratitude when their actions are instead guided by personal interest, whether as an apothecary or in the excessively researched presentation on which school better suits their friend.
