Yeah, Cain from Akuyaku Reijou no Ani ni Tensei Shimashita (with its similar premise) went absolute murder mode with someone just proposing to his sister.

The kidnapping sequence reminded me of Eris's humbling in Mushoku Tensei in a good way. Can't be a new season soon enough, I wanna see Old Man Rudeus animated!

That's a web novel side story. It's not part of the Light Novel (which the manga and anime are based on) continuity.

That's like staying away from GTA because of the Hot Coffee mod.

EDIT: So people stop whining, apparently I was supposed to track down the socials of an author in a language I don't speak, on a series that looked like it ended, to find out it would eventually be adapted. Pardon me for thinking a LN series was over when the protagonist and antagonist are dead!
