Rei is a shitty person who does a lot of shitty things. You could probably write a PhD on his shittiness. But to this day I still feel that him giving Mahoro his affair partner's old earrings for her birthday back in chapter 2, fully cognizant that they meant a lot to her because she actually wanted them, is one of, if not the most vomit-inducing thing he did.

Brother could have picked up a withered leaf from a roadside gutter and it would have been less awful.

Oh so "i want to redeem myself" part is coming up. I hope she doesn't forgive Kyouko, you don't need a "friend" like that...

Btw Anyone know how many chapters there are? I like this 1 ch per day pace, gives you a bit of time to process the development and come up with your own conclusions.

MDex indexing says it ends at Chapter 50.

Holy shit. Giving your wife the earrings of the affair partner. Absolutely diabolical Rei. Was that Rios idea? Like the possibility was there he was just buying the earrings to placate Mahoro, but it's not even that, it's that they are literally the affair partner's.

Figured Kyouka had to come back in the story somehow, but not sure what role she is gonna play. Would seem kinda weird to just take her as an ally or something but idk

My first assumption was that Rio lied to screw with Mahoro, but come to think of it, Rei really is a cheapskate; you can't put it past him...

I wonder if Rio is the one who knew this & asked Rei (or Kei) for the earrings, intending to eventually cast em off. 'cause as he's been written, it seems odd that Rei would remember that Mahoro wanted them.

this is an absolutely disgusting Rei-apologist post.

Because what you leave off is that Rei probably bought the earrings a gift for Rio only because Mahoro said she wanted them. Literally using his wife as a shopping guide for his side piece, and then she didn't want them anymore gave them to his wife.

...actually what probably happened was he gave them to Rio on Mahoro's birthday and when she didn't want them gave to Mahoro the next day.

Fuck Kyouko's redemption.

But I know she's going to get forgiven and complete her redemption arc.
My guess is that she got photos of Rio leaving the bag.

Thank fuck Rio's ego was so goddamn fragile. The bait worked, whole hook line and sinker AND a bit of the damn rod too for good measure.

Now to fingerprint the dumbass and swipe her and Rei's whole fortune in court.
tl;dr: She won't get Rei's whole fortune. Given she works its unlikely she'd get allimony from what I understand of the Japanese legal system. She might be able to get a payment from Rei for holding back her career, but I am going to guess that'd be too complex an action for this manga. Mostly it would null-and-void any hopes Rei would have on trying to go after any of her assets (We had to live in this expensive apartment because she demaned it, your honor), and anything he didn't outright buy himself (furniture, etc) would defacto go to Mahoro with no 'credit' given. It would also allow her to kick Rei off the lease and make him the one who has to find a new apartment.

You're not completely off base, but given this Stella Getting Her Groove Back rules, its unlikely there is more to this than is readily apparent.

I'll be honest if someone was doing what Rio was doing I'd call the police.

Lady is going a bit too hard on the jigsaw riddles to be sane. I feel like she would straight out try to stab someone.
And unless the Japanese police had it in for Rio you'd get a "And? We should do....?".

Bro… both Rio and Rei are absolute filth
Yes ok you are right but w/r/t to Rio....I can fix her.
