Listening to Foxy Lady and Purple Haze while reading this chapter was an amazing experience.
I know Morrison was a pretentious jerk irl, but this version has crossed the line with Jimi, who is highly respected even by The Beatles themselves.

Eh, not really? The way I see it, the idea for this whole 2nd arc with the 27 club is basically setting up for closure with Jimi. Like, the whole reason Shiori even considered to accept the deal with 27 Club is not necessarily because she don't want to die, but it's because she wants Jimi's music (the one he played solo back then) to be heard by the world.

Shiori's own story ended, this is all Jimi's show now.

A bit late to coming back to this. But I think a keypart of the message is going to be not to give up or compromise either way. And the idea of 27 club as a form of closure for artists, and training and meeting someone they feel can continue to make amazing music?
The point of this is that Shiori had to give up what was precious to her for Jimi's music, and obviously Shiori Experience isn't going to take that as the accepted answer.

Shiori and Jimi are the closest to what should occur with the 27 Crossroads, and I think in the end will prove that and show them shine on.
