Judging from Amai's comments at the end of the chapter, her mother might not be around anymore...
I somehow both love and hate how the manga drops these hints to the backstories of the characters without making them the focus of a chapter.

@pip25 Unfortunately the way the two remaining chapters are going there won't be any more diving into that. There is a lot to dig into, like what Sensei was like in his high school days or why Amai likes older men so much. But Nakatoka-sensei's already made the choice to not do that, so we'll have to leave it to our imaginations.
