Sadly it's the fault of the customer & internet, they are doing it because it sell better for them if they break the chapter in part ( and it create more active user on their website which lead to more income )
So it's probably never going away, and only getting worst, unless people stop consuming.
I think some series do fine doing it, but lot just cut normal chapter in half, it's such a pain to read ( i dropped so many series that released chapter in part ).

Yeah, it's annoying AF. But I can't imagine this series is doing good, if author had to change magazine he's releasing his work (disclaimer - I have no clue about japanese manga magazine industry, but this one clearly looks like downgrade to me, comparing just titles, that are on website). Especially to one, that's making him to cut his chapters in half. And let's be honest - he's not even trying to make this title more "cut-friendly", it's getting literally hacked mid chapter to the point, where you'd like to press button to go to next page, expecting the story to continue, but there is nothing more.
I can't possibly see bright future ahead this title.
