I feel like the set up here is that the MC killed his classmates himself and he is in denial.
I mean, from everything we know, he couldn't have killed his classmates since he didn't have enough power to even help them not get killed. Thought then again, if he tried to take advantage of them by sending them into a battle he could feel they'd be unprepared for and then hid away...

Regardless, i'm not sure they'd pull that bit with the demon whose entire point is reanimating corpses. It likely is actually being played straight, and the MC came back years later after founding Helheim and growing stronger to get his revenge. Which, then, would track for why Bifrons wouldn't remember: for it, the corpses of reincarnators would be prime combatants to use, but wouldn't pull 1 and 1 together and think those are related to the weird ass dude who came to kill him with an entourage of not-reincarnators and kill him years later.

As Dio would say: "do you remember every piece of bread you've eaten in your life?". It's likely Bifrons has killed reincarnators before, and at least whoever killed him then would have had the courtesy to refresh their memory, instead of edgelording and chunni'ing all over their face.

So much chatter for so little content 😮‍💨. Atleast the monthly Manga should have bigger chapters or more meaningful chapters.

DEMON: I have never forgotten you for even a single moment!
MC: I'll be taking my revenge on you for killing my classmates!
DEMON: What are you talking about?

Something feels really fishy about this interaction. Could be any number of things - classmates aren't actually dead, they're dead but their existence was erased from the world, MC's memories have been altered, who knows.
Or just that the demon didn't know who his classmates were. Not all mass murderers care to identify who they are killing before carrying on to the next group.
