yeah this fucker, I was so mad when he went and made love with Riede first...like man that's fucked up, that's like...fucking netori....netorare for females...

@SprinKah Why should he be punished for Meriela's pride? Remember: after Meriela was injured, she refused to see, speak, or write back to Lect for a month, at the very least, despite him writing to her fairly regularly (though, admittedly, it was also Fariel that refused to let him see her at first). If you push someone away like that and they decide to seek out someone else, you have no one but yourself to blame; so I ask again, why should Lect be punished more (at all, really) because of Meriela's pride?
To start off, I am aware that this is a harem, Lect is totally allowed to have multiple wives and I really shouldn't expect much from a harem story...
But let's forget about this being a harem for a moment. I feel bad for Meriela because she's the first girl, she was with Lect from the start and I grew attached to her more as a character, I consider her as best girl I suppose. She did devote herself more for the MC imo, even made that whole rider contract with him. When she put herself out there for Lect, even got her hand cut off. Sure it was also out of pride but I feel it was more for Lect. She got hospitalized and agonized over the fact that she wasn't strong enough, blamed herself, looked down on herself. It angered me that during that time, Lect went and sleep with another girl who really did nothing but told Lect about her sad past...that's it. I felt bad for Meriela. Sure they reconciled but all Lect got was a few pouts and some minor scoldings...We all know Lect is ignorant towards feelings of women sure but man, I felt really sad seeing Meriela depressed.
I read your reply on chap 62, and yeah, i understand that her pride is also a bit of a flaw. If this wasn't a harem, he should've had more restraints and thought about how much it'd hurt Meriela if he went and sleep with some girl when Meriela was in such a pitiful state, like any real couple would. Then again, this is a harem so I guess I shouldn't expect that level of romance. I also apologize for throwing the word "netori" around a bit much, I was a bit bitter, it may not be netori but it did feel like a husband cheating on his wife. I know this is a harem but I couldn't help getting that feeling, Riede really just...came out of nowhere, told some sob story and got Lect in bed...hmm...while Meriela, the only girl who got closest to actually marrying him, was rehabilitating elsewhere, depressed, it made me cry.
But in the end, it's still a harem so it is what it is, fuck. Hope that settles it :/
