Honestly I mostly don't get the "They're still in each other's bodies and happy" aspect of the ending purely because at least on of them still very much didn't click being in the body they're in even near the end and suddenly they're just all okay with it after years of not adjusting or adapting on any level.

Just feels too far a stretch.
