I get what they are going for with the guy, he is going to be the bridge between her and humanity so she can see that there are things to live for despite working such a bleak job and hated by everyone else. But he could probably be written to be doing that in a slightly less annoying way, so hopefully as it goes on he settles into a more human role instead of just the whacky opposite to the stoic character

Garensis is a naive up start with a lot of heart, but no real experience. Over time he'll probably learn more about Nemu and Nemu will expound on her philosophy about what it means to be a corpse bearer and how to honor the dead, while he provides a little spark and flavor to her life.

It'll be interesting to see whether or not Garensis will come to respect and adopt Nemu's outlook or reject it and discover a new outlook to contrast it.

Also they decided to leave the husband's body behind with only the ring because that was all they could do to keep him and the bride together in anyway. If he had been brought back the rings would have been taken from his corpse and he wouldve been dumped in a shallow, unnamed grave befitting a "criminal". Bringing them back to the parents together was never an option.

The usual cliche path this kind of genre always take, eh? My only hope the dude just smart up a little bit. If he keeps doing stupid thing like this, one of the chapter will show Nemu drags his corpse out of the dungeon. Or not, since that's not her job.

You know, it might have seemed like the woman's family disapproved of their marriage and that's why they invented that NTR story to explain her disappearance. But I got the impression that their marriage was not a problem, instead it was their visit to the dungeon. It seemed like pure thrill seeking right after the ceremony, hence the pawning off of the dress and this was seen as an embarrassment by the family.
