Two character who have no chemistry together because the author just wanted his show to have lesbians.

Yeah. And what arguably sucks most about it is that if you point out how shoehorned in it is, there will always be people that go "oh so you have a problem with homosexuals or homosexual representation, huh?" when that's not the issue in the slightest.

It's almost demeaning sense when writers do things like that. It can be as if a character's personality is just "I'm gay" as opposed to "I'm just a person who happens to be gay" (which is the correct approach imo). Even irl, most people find someone with a constant "yeah I'm gay, got a problem with it?"-type attitude to be obnoxious (as you would with any other 'in your face' attitude). All the gay people I've gotten along with irl are just regular people you can talk to and joke around with. They're not unnecessarily combative about it.

And yeah, I think that lesbian couples are apparently less jarring for people to see in general. It's something to do with how humans view sexuality in men and women.

Can confirm, took me a year and a half to notice that 5 people in my clasroom were gay and even when I found out, nothing really changed with my interactions with them.

Up until that point I had never interacted in my life with a person that had a different sexual orientation, I made friendship with one of them because she was one of the 5 people who didn't take english classes (literally just five people, the rest stayed lmao), she told me some stories of how she and her partner were treated. I kind of miss her.

It's an interesting experience making yourself so tired that you start to feel like you are watching the World though a screen, like you are not really there.

I never really bought into Korrasami being hinted at throughout the show like so many say. It was really just the last episode of season 3 and tiny bits throughout season 4. Very poor attempt at establishing a relationship. Basically the only decent relationship building in the show is Bolin and Opal, and Jinora and Kai. It's part of why I'm so content with the end of season 3 being the canon end to the show for me.

The Avatar, irrelevant and physically broken, surrounded by her friends as they gather to honor the unveiling of a new airbending master. There's something so powerful about them all gathering together to both support Korra and Jinora. One in her time of need and the other in one of the most important moment's in her culture's history.

I had no idea how fucking abysmal the LoK comics were. They're literally just mediocre pieces of fanfiction that hit you over the head with the author's ideals. Makes sense that Vox and the like would criticize Pewds for recommending someone like E;R and his 'edgy' (it's not that edgy) humor.
