Can you believe there's still people out there who think that if you haven't watched Attack on Titan, you aren't a real anime fan? I unfortunately have met people like that. :lul: :haa:
Whoever says that doesn't watch Anime because they actually enjoy it, they are a cloutchasing tourist, indeed.

I guess I can take Solace that their oh so great show had a shit ending, LMAO

I still creep out when I remember one day our national public TV channel said "Attack on Titan is the best anime ever done, as it is reflected on main Internet fan platforms", it was like "heck, not you too?!" and just reminded me why I don't like watching TV news (or TV in general).
I always get weirded out in general when the common public talks about anime, like I usually like to keep my anime interest and other stuff separate, so it just feels so strange to see it outside of the medium. Which is kinda hard to do nowadays with how popular anime has gotten.

Well this was happening as far back as the first season (so like 2013?) so I believe it was just new anime fans who thought they found the best anime ever. It's cool and all that they liked it, but I just hope they mellowed out as they watched more stuff.

Fair. Though, it's one thing if they said it during the start, but another if they keep saying it now. And I see a lot of people doing the latter. Probably didn't watch an anime since then.
Pretty sure that most of the normietype "fans" also don't even watch anime, but parrot secondhand information they get from anime youtubers that tell them how to think about series'
