These guys did see the ancient dragon that was summoned by one of her subordinates right? Still just gonna go ahead with your plan and straight forwardly fight her despite losing all advantage (the army’s not invading anymore)? Not at least gonna be wary of the super loyal dude that can just poof up literal gods? I mean at least the guy that betrayed (idk why you’d betray someone after seeing their newest employee do everything he’s done), has seen the mc in action and should be like “yeah, let’s be at least a little bit cautious”
Also just as a chapter this was so overwhelming disappointing. I’ll say it a million times, short chapters in action/adventurer series like this suck (really I’d say even the usual 20 pages sucks (a big reason I hate shounen jump is because even on a weekly format there isn’t enough pages per chapter for the stories that are published that which stretch out so long)). Manga chapters are a REALLY REALLY short read when compared to an episode of an anime or even a light novel or web novel chapter. This is that weird medium between reading text and watching video in just the worst combination possible (well depending on how you feel about being able to read fast; worst for authors and the pacing). I’d rather wait longer for a complete feeling chapter I can take my time to get into and be immersed in, than something like this where I get excited (seeing a new chapter) and just blow through everything and am done in less than 5 minutes (even trying to go slow).
