art really carried the series... finally reading the end of the series, it really wasn't a story that you haven't found in an arc from a rom-com, but the art was great enough to enjoy our cliche characters. (although the teacher and the nurse looked really weird, at least the moms that appeared were normal looking)

For a fairly good reason: the second volume is kinda messy. Their romantic development continues slowly, interrupted by a challenger kouhai who is a dead (sorry) ringer for his senpai at that age. A whole fourth-wall breaking subplot about a LN author who wrote a novel that's indistinguishable from the actual first volume is thrown in as well, but neither is explained particularly well and the whole book is best ignored.
