The whole explanation had some weak ass logic and never once we heard what the actual threat for the father or family was. The father did nothing useful this whole time, what's the money for?

Frankly most of us gave up trying to understand that part a while ago. It’s the combination of an unrealistic japan and the author or rent a prosthetic leg after all. It’s (mostly) a distraction from actual romance, or maybe a way to slightly nudge it forward as seen in this chapter? As much progress as handholding is supposed to be when it’s done with filial intent

Am I the only one who doesn’t understand this? Because I think this plotline is very poorly and illogically written. Yamaguchi calls herself the trump card of the real father, and I’m asking what kind of trump card?

If this guy can’t even do anything, he abandoned the mother with the children, then they were LEGALLY adopted by Kaname and his wife, so where is the problem that puts the Shiunji family at risk? And besides, as another comment mentioned, a photo leaked of Arata kissing his sister, and Reiji thinks that the bigger scandal would be revealing that Yamaguchi is their mother (so Minami and Shion have to be protected) 😂

The only person who can face any real consequences is the real father, but Kaname (who is basically the equivalent of Elon Musk in terms of wealth) does nothing. He could legally destroy this guy using his resources, especially since he has grounds to do so the guy is harassing his children and employees.

The series is supposed to end in about 20 chapters, and Reiji decides to write weak and illogical dramas instead of developing the romance in the series. Arata has been announcing for many chapters that he has to do something about his sisters’ feelings, and yet he still hasn’t done anything. Instead, we’re being shoved these dramas that are absurdly written (I kind of feel like Reiji decided that the reader will swallow anything, so he doesn’t have to put effort into writing it in a way that makes everything logical).

I think it's not the fact that a deadbeat cunt is yelling like a retard that's the problem here. That in itself can be safely ignored by everyone.

What can't be ignored is the fact that they're all adopted and thus, are not Kaname's real children. Realistically, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't change much but you know how some "news" outlets love to chase after even the smallest scoop.

Right now, I think most people are not looking at this as clearly as they should.

To them right now, the fact the richest man on the planet has 8 adopted kids and hid them till now is some sensational shit, and ngl it would be irl too.

But what you're forgetting to take into account is that you're taking this from your own point of view and not theirs. That I know of, you're not a superstar, neither are you filthy rich. You're not being constantly trailed by paparazzis or always given looks by everyone on the street since the whole city literally knows your face purely due to being connected to the richest man on earth.

In almost every chapter where they're outside, people almost always recognize them. They are that known.

Now put yourself in a shitty outlet's shoes, like TMZ or some other bullshit. You know that there are these 8 sensational kids, people love to gossip, and they're super known throughout the city (if not country). Now it's out that they're adpoted, it's gonna get people talking and now you want to milk the absolute shit out of this story.

Hence the "scandal" part since now they're under intense scrutiny by "journalists". A single misstep can fuck them all sideways, putting real pressure on them.

Still, it's true that in the grand scheme of things, to the average joe this is just some shit you'd see on insta, go "eh, really? That's insane" then just keep doomscrolling. But to the Shiunji kids, it's everyday like this. These paparazzis will chase after the faintest trail of dirt they can dig up.

I do get though how from our point of view it can seem over the top and shit like that. Even I still think a bit that this is overblown. But I also kinda get why they're calling it a scandal.
