Well, she is the oldest and at the same time the stupidest of all the siblings, and obviously getting involved with Banri will be the biggest catastrophe that can happen in this series.

It's really a shame that Reiji decided to ruin her character like that.

Even acting condescendengly towards MC a couple of times about how he still was "just a boy" or "too young" to understand adult matters... and then she goes and acts in the most stupidest childish and useleslly self-sacrifying way possible forgetting she has siblings and a father she can also rely on.

According to the father during the reveal chapter, he said all of them are adopted. Though Minami and Shion are still twins. I remember this because I was so happy thinking theres an actual blood related route, but it was before I memorised the names, and that Shion is not the MC.

Not necessarily his, just in general that there is another pair of real siblings, but personally I bet that Kotono will be Arata’s real sister, and when that is finally revealed, we are in for some really heavy chapters.

I hope there will be a real blood related incest route, and hopefully Kotono wins in the end.

It should be in chapter 34, and also in episode 12 of the anime this scene is expanded better it shows a “mysterious” character who writes a letter and directly says “that among us there is yet another pair of true siblings.”

good scene. need characters like Shion to remain normal so they act as support. and good character building for Minami, gives insight to what shes going through
