Well, it does seem like there was more to the the steel knight and why he chose to die. He was "rewritten" and probably was losing his mind and memory over time.
As for the new mystery woman, I can't tell if she is a demon or another 4D entity/demi-god (as in she seems to travel between space and time) who can observe "anomalies" like Dwight, humanity, and the "Will of the World". Dwight, for better or worse, is still growing in power - perhaps he himself is also getting closer to divinity than we realize?
Keep in mind, in the manga thus far - the "will of the world" hasn't been fully explained and I certainly don't know if it is exclusive to humans or other sentient beings/race. If one can face and overcome the will of the world alone, does said individual become a god?
Technically, he already has an (ex)demon lord as a friend/subordinate, so what is above a demon lord? Demon god? At least we know Dwight won't a useless deity if he does become one.

Writer's block or wall; if one is to think about it, Dwight is basically killing other beings who posses strength rivaling demi-gods. So 4D chess characters are introduced to ... tamper his growth. Think about all the enemies Dwight has faced - mortal hero(es) who failed, "holy" saints can't kill him, magi-tech can't kill him, his servants are also growing more powerful.
It's kind of like shonen fighting manga or DBZ; at some point they're just gonna go out and destroy universe(s) of the losing side because planets or a single plane of existence can no longer contain their power. 🍿

Problem when your mc is a super powerful lich/archmage/sage etc... curses and other magic sneakery is far less believable as a plot device than against a standard hero. At one point it just feels lazy.
