Huh, so rather than consolidating power over the lands of the former demon lord, it seems to be some sort of slave emancipation mission...? that's quite unexpected. Openly doing heroic deeds... will the reason be for military manpower I assume? Or maybe as population for his newly conquered lands? I doubt they're gonna be used for sacrifice or something.

Never noticed the playing cards motif before for Luciana's subordinates. Only Kuro is missing what I assume would be a black spade motif. Not looking good for Lovs, she has been captured by a gyaru-oh gangster looking new boss enemy.

Of course, this is all speculative just by the fact that we're starting another story. But conventionally the hero have always been chosen from the opposing faction, and that somewhat guarantees a clash between the 2. Choosing the leader of a gray faction such as the slave district leader as a hero, however, doesn't. There's no guarantee there will be a clash, at least at first glance. There is nothing holding them back from working together.

Unless the Will of the World is sentient, or at least sentient enough to understand Dwight's antiheroic intention as a lich king.

Maybe my theory of Will of the World being the readers made more sense than I thought it was.
That's not always true though. The inventor if I remember right did not actually care about "beating the Maou" in that sense. He just cared about his isekai fantasy. And the magic kingdom was not an "opposing faction" at the start. They were opposing when their tech became a threat. And he didn't become an immediate threat until he started stealing the stone, at which point the WotW already had him.

Also if I remember correctly the archer and the pirate were also both potential 'heroe candidates'. (And Heroes are WotW) and neither of them actually cared about the Maou but rather power, and were not technically in opposing factions to the Maou.

It's not a slave emancipation mission. Remember the MC's plan is to get the world to turn all their attention to him. As he said, the slave people are too evil. Meaning that they will distract the world from him. So he's gonna knock them down a few pegs so the world doesn't care about them.

Does page 10 have "demons" and "demi-humans" switched in the picture by accident? The descriptions of them seem to imply they should be reversed.

The captured girl is literally the subordinate of what I assume is the most powerful succubus in the world. Maybe she's seducing him in some roundabout way.

Interesting!!
Wonder how Yura drinks the potion. And considering is the familiar of a great spirit how much of a nuke she can be.

Anyways who's gonna bet how many chapters does the new guy lasts for?
