We have one more chapter in the volume and that’s it. While there is more, we don’t yet have a translator for the series.

New idea but still the same as usual. Japanese people tastes in horror wrapped up in a nutshell.
I find it hard to get horror manga which is not in terms of violence gore, monster and disgust.
They are too creative until there are hundreds of titles with the same concept, recycling, not always exciting to follow. It shows brutality, annoying character, unneeded fanservice, and many more.

The rest, very few of them show from urban legends perspective.
Like, for example : Zashiki Onna, a one-shot from Minetaro Mochizuki (the author of Dragon Head).

And the judgement for this manga alone, surprisingly good. The idea is quite crazy, humans become cattle.
It shows how dark the society is. But at least for me, I'm fed up, still waiting for further development.

i seriously thought this was by the same guy who did apocalypse no toride (fortress of apocalypse), the art style is creepily very similar. oh and yeah for anyone reading this i also suggest checking that one out, it's basically i am a hero 2.0 with a way better ending.

If you click on the author's name, it appears to be by the same guy. The fact that the art is also similar with different artists is probably the creepiest this one has to offer.

The story itself is otherwise kinda...eh.

This reminded me a lot of Bio Meat.

Though this might be better since it has more "psychopaths" in it.

Isn't it a bit of a waste of time to translate this when the official translation is way ahead of you anyways? Good to have options though, I guess.

The premise of the manga is strange,though.

First of all, global warming(about 0,5 to 1 degree Celsius within the next century) would never cause food shortages in the 1st world, especially not at our current birth rates of between 1,1 to 1,4 children per woman.
2ndly, it's a strange solution to feed humans as prey for other fleshy beasts.
Why not let the 3rd world starve to death first? After all, we sell our huge abundance produced in 1st world agriculture to them for nothing more than little money, and there's still enough for people to speculate with it, so if there was a food shortage,
those overpopulated countries would've to die first (e.g. Yemen, it has an overpopulation of 900% as it imports 90% of its food;
such countries shouldn't exist, every country should only have as much population as it can feed so it can be independent, otherwise it's completely dependent on other nations and thus not a sovereign nation) way before countries like Japan would have to even think about human cattle.

By that day, humanity would've slimmed down to about 2 to 3 billion people (depending on how many in China and India die;
India will probably lose about 800 to 1000 million people since it's already aggressively overproducing, using up precious ground water resources and poisoning the ground with chemicals;
Africa will probably go down to like 100-200 million people in total since they can't do much without imported food&healthcare from Europe, Japan and the U.S., as failed states like Zimbabwe, Kongo and South Africa showcase to what extend the Africans can feed themselves),
which is completely sustainable with our ever-evolving technology and scientific knowledge regarding agriculture (especially Japan, Europe and the U.S.A. are pretty much at the peak of future agriculture, researching into different resistances against drought/wet climates/plant diseases, crop abundance, etc.).

Human cattle will probably only be an option for the Near East and Africa once we've dumped them to save ourselves first.

@Asriel

Are you underestimating equal rights and human rights activists? They’d probably go nuts “knowing” that humans are being allowed in the third world countries to “be fed” to beasts which would then be consumed by 1st and 2nd world countries...

Would those same people not also be disturbed that First World citizens were being fed too? Information networks in less developed countries drastically reduces any HRA from even being aware anything is going on. It's much easier to disappear large numbers of 3rd Worlders than 1st Worlders so if they had to disappear anyone it would be them.

In addition, a majority of countries that would have/have had their water and ariable land reduced by global warming would be those 3rd worlders. Meanwhile, global warming is actually increasing crop capacities of more northern areas due to a reduction in permafrost, with most 1st World countries being in these more northern regions on average.

I hope the English translations continue again. Although the story is sorta flimsy, the horror in this manga is pretty great and I want to see more.
