I haven't read sweet home, so I'm giving this review from that perspective.
The art is good, the story is pretty solid, if a little derivitive (I'm looking at you, Ms. Not-Eleven-From-Stranger-Things). At least until the last ~10 chapters kinda make a mess of everything.
The main conflict of the story, aside from the slurpee straw-shaped elephant in the room, is between MC guy and his bully. That should have been the climax. Instead, Mr. Oopy Goopy comes in with his suspiciously bully-shaped throat, has 4 fake out deaths in a row, quickscopes Not-Eleven, and fucks off. He just gets what he wants, godlike powers, with hardly any reprocussions for him. Mass murdering cannibal btw.
Also what the fuck is that final chapter and epilogue???? Like fr? Just completely nonsensical.
Anyways, ignoring all that, cool horror moments, big black pupils plus smile is very ooky spooky, 7/10. Would I recommend it? Errrr, if it's connected to sweet home in a meaningful way and youre going from one to the other, sure?? Honestly, I'd rather read like School Live or Surviving Romance. Not bad, but the ending and some writing inconsistencies let it down a bit.
