@WoodyCyber May I ask you why? he left already, so he had nothing to do with king's torture. he took part in a war, siding with a racist country, yes, but to his defense, he don't really know it better, all of the people around him are calling beastmen evil. and from what I remember, he is beginning to notice that there is something off. he also clearly recognized our mc but were clever enough to not call him out, probably because he knew he would only cause problems to our mc if he would do that. so my prediction is that there will be a period of struggle ahead of him but one day he will see what kind of people he supported and switch sides
as for many others here: you are quite bloodthirsty, aren't you? saying our mc should just kill everyone who opposes him - there may be cases, were letting the villain live is the worse way, especially if it's the second time, but for the first time... tell me where do you draw the line? if someone killed another one? but is a soldier who kills as part of duty a worse human than his leader who maybe never actually killed someone but gave the order to do so? fact is, the death penalty has never led to a peaceful society, more of the opposite
