What a waste of time, probably the worst series I've ever read besides Bleach.

It has a lot of immersion breaking elements and very romantic/naive writing. It's a historical fiction action adventure with a small bit of romance and a very big focus on medieval warfare and politics and the author is godawful at writing all of it. The writing feels like it targets preschoolers which obviously clashes with the story and mood it's trying to convey. It's like the story was written by a teenage girl who has a surface level interest in turkish history and likes middle eastern and medieval aesthetics.
I'd call the art its one saving grace except it's only that about 30% of the time, the art ranges from shoddy and simple to quite detailed and illustration-ish, but I reckon that's partly subjective.
There's 100s of japanese comic books you should read before ever even considering touching this series and 1000s if you can read japanese.
