Great art as always from sensei.

But meh story.

Because Shueshia banked a yuri anime this year with low budget and low marketing that was an explosive success and merch selling machine, then they had an airing of 6 episodes in the theathers with very small expectations and they ended having to increase the number of theathers and expand the time it was supposed to air.

So they are going to invest more on yuri because they realized if it's all girls then they have tons of merch to sell.

TRUKE, this manga is going straight to the U19 club.

Judging by the Authors past works and the way manga like this usually go I'm going to take a guess it isn't going to be a GL. The kiss was more of a bait to grab readers attention. Probably going to be more similar to something like IDOLxIDOL Story which is tagged as GL. But if you've read it, it doesn't have any romantic developments at all. It's focused on the idols story. (I could be wrong but I'm more inclined to expect this to be the case as it's usually how manga like this go and the author has a history of sports/games manga with 0 romance).

Still seems like a fun manga though I'm going to keep up with it. I like the characters. But yeah wouldn't recommend people to pick this up if they're only doing so for yuri.

I always find it funny in sports manga when they make a character that abandoned the sport after a loss, because they always lose to the dude who ends up winning, it's like, "damn I lost to usain bolt, better quit running then", it's never a understandable crash out like "I lost to a guy that also lost the following round, on a minor competition"

I think it's pretty understandable for a teenager who thinks they're hot shit to crash out because they got humbled for the first time in their life. It's not so much about who beat them but that they thought they were the best until real life blindsided them. Her overhearing her dad saying the reason she lost is because of the one thing she can't change through hard work didn't help either. If he encouraged her instead she might not have given up when she first lost.
