Looks interesting, but I hate the way Japan seems to view natural talent as an unscalable wall, that can not be overcome.
Would the artist or writer to this series say that this comic and story is the result of talent rather than effort? Could a budding artist without natural talent ever get as good as them?... I doubt they'd say as much, and yet we often see stories such as these that preach such beliefs. :bleh:
Not to say everyone can do everything, such as a dyslexic person wanting to be the worlds greatest speedreader, but let's not include impediments in the discussion, thankyou.

This one has a pretty toxic message. If your self worth constantly is defined by comparing yourself to others, yes. You'll become a bitter old person who can never live up to anyone. Because the people who make a difference in this life aren't chasing someone else's dream or fixating about the difference between their talent and anyone else's. They're blithely chasing their ideas without fear or doubt.
what about you dream is to become best basketball player but you were blessed with less than 5 foot tall body? can you said you truly chasing your ideal to become best basketball player when you didn't have right talent to achieve it?

because to be the best basketball player, you will eventually facing the difference in talent that you can never overcome, height.

"if you work hard, you can achieve your dream" "stop comparing you with others, be your ideal self".

but reality is, some people can't never achieve their dream no matter how hard they work and effort pull into it and they can never be ideal self because society will reject it.

if my ideals is to be man with 100 wives, should i chase it without fear and doubt? do i make difference in life if that is my ideals?

what you saying is nice, but that all depends what your dream and ideal self is. not all ideal is good and not all dreams are made equal. life is unfair and harsh. sometimes you needs to accept that you being dealed with bad hand and nothing you could do to win the game. the best option is to fold and minimize the lost.

Moral of the story? Hard work is for side characters; real protagonists just respawn with max stats. Inspirational.
I mean, isn’t there a saying for that? hardwork beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard or something

"Heroes are Humanity's Last Hope" what? But all we've seen are human wars? What "last hope" bullshit...

I think its fine, not every story needs that sort of message and reality is far more unfair, where not even talent is needed sometimes to succeed, just being lucky is enough

Honestly too many stories have that "anybody can become somebody if they try hard enough message" to the point i find stories that say the opposite to be more "unique" to me
