I think ‘Shura’ is supposed to be Asura, since Sol said that was the title he used in his previous life. Which in the first chapter was ‘God of War,’ and Asuras in Buddist mythology are beings that are constantly at war with Devas.

I don't know, I've seen both names used for a similar context. I'm pretty sure that Asura and Shura do have different origins, though the names have a tendency of getting merged in JP translations.
