I should go read the WN now, just because the story seems so interesting and I'm impatient.

But I like that Sendai's story is expanding now. The reveal of the suffocation of her home life and the expectations put upon her by others, makes her ready agreement to Miyagi's paid orders much more understandable.

And I enjoy it when yuri characters refer to one half of the main pair as "cat-like". Something about that personality type just resonates with me.

so, she agrees to her orders because she’s afraid miyagi will stop paying for her visits, and without her she has nowhere that’s free of expectations? that makes it much clearer. it makes her compliance feel less like willingness and more like survival. i really hope we get more of miyagi's backstory too.

Except for changing Mike-chan, it's great. That's going to be inconsistent with the manga and the official translation.

The decision was made to localize the translation by changing the name to Cali which is short for calico, the way Mike is a shortened name in Japanese. I think it work pretty good
