@Harvester Then again, it's implied that all of Masuda's series take place in the same universe… And I honestly don't find the characters that over-the-top. Quirky, hyper and a tad stupid, sure, but not to the point of breaking my suspension of disbelief. We don't have a naked woman riding a flying leaf and flirting with lions with fountains of male nosebleeds in the background quite yet.

New month new survey of 7seas, support Masuda Eiji by help trying getting it licensed and published in the English speaking realm!

What's wrong people?
Uh, I'm not fans of this author. I don't like Jitsu wa Watashi at all ('m bored and stop watch the anime, halfway) and I think this one is much better than the previous one.

If you want me to compare with new ongoing series, Hitman, I drop that one and I follow this one.
Hachi isn't as realistic as Bakuman, but it's pretty good and worth following.

I agree with you, in terms of: anime adaptation is surely, and always goes off the track from its manga (and the rest is not much different).
I read the manga to make comparisons too, to reconsider. I'm a reader who always tries to tolerate and read many genres. If it's interesting I stay, if it's not interesting I throw it away. As simple as that.

When I read Jitsu wa, I can feel the humor and the emotion, but what didn't fit well with me : the concept of the story (and some unknown aspects). I just don't like it, not too interesting for me even if it has some potential.

Quite recommended for those who are looking for a readable comedy manga though.

Who translated it as Weekly Young Lad Hachi? Like, its a reference to Shounen Jump and stuff. The title isn't calling him a shounen, and I sure as hell have never seen it called Young Lad Champion.

Huh, no romance tag, cute girl on the cover thumbnail. Confused. Any hints?

@Nermie01 There is a little romance, but it's very minor. Unless you count Hachi × Mikeya as a romance, which wouldn't be a stretch.

Don't worry, if you're interested in romance, you can read this one.
You will got a better romance progress with 40 chapters of this manga instead of 200 chapters of Nisekoi or Kimi No Iru machi, 2 manga with a high focus on ""romance"".
(Chapter 40 especially, the comments will be great, and everyone will like it probably)

I gave up on Nisekoi anyways. Not even bestgirl Seishiro could save it, especially when I found out the ending. 25 volumes just to end up with the first girl introduced. Regardless, I like this author, so I'll probably check it out at some point.

God damn it. SSH was so damn good... I really hope Masuda continues it or something, somehow. Maybe independently?

He is just so good at getting the reader into his stories...
