The character interactions as always are what make Eiji's manga work. Hachi having similar characteristics to other protagonists isn't a problem because there is something incredibly genuine about his writing. The humor is on point and he really likes using archetypes and tropes but playing with them so you're familiar and comfortable with them; then he yanks the rug out from under you to make you laugh.

Like of course it's a Shonen manga so a girl is gonna fall for him early and act mean towards him; but in an Eiji makes does it actually bother anyone? Or is it hilarious and capable of giving us great drama because his writing holds up?

Nothing would make my day like Handa going through the entire school, eventually becoming number 1, then going "well i proved to myself that i could do it if i tried, now i'm gonna go work towards my true love" and not becoming a mangaka.

I have no idea why that popped into my head this chapter, but it really stuck with me.

Ah yeah, i hope they will be the main couple of this manga, and not the Gril in the beginning who got in A-class, would be better.

Panda chapters - check.
Dumpire chapters - in progress.
Senpai chapters - arc finale?
Anyways, this manga is going good. I hope it snowballs to popularity the same way Jitsu wa did.

Man, still waiting for the dude in the group to reveal his true shitbag colors.

I'll take these Panda and Inohara chapters in the meantime tho...

Especially when he's the only team member who hasn't done jack shit in the Twidder battle yet…

Inohara is a treasure and also maybe a criminal, but that's okay but also maybe illegal.

Seriously. First I read Komi-san and end up with a huge smile on my face, then I read this. The smile won't go!

Heh… I see Masuda hasn't lost the habit of recycling his color pages for volume covers. ?That saves some time for sure.

The characters and set up are interesting and the Eiji character interactions are spectacular as always. But I cant be interested in the plot. The fierce competition and difficulty of manga is inherent as well as properly conveyed. But it is such weight and enormous challenge that leaves an insurmountable mountain before the foreseeable pacing. Trying to push forward resists too much and the pacing doesnt seem hot blooded enough to keep up.
